I am thinking very seriously about buying these rad Alice & Olivia floral pants. Although I would style them differently and pair them with a white T by Alexander Wang tee, half tucked, very slouchy cardi or Rag & Bone jean jacket, messy hair and big sunglasses.
Is it crazy that I want these pants? Maybe I just want Spring to arrive in full force..

It’s Cyber Monday, which basically means if you are at work right now, your productivity level is next to nothing right now. I’m going to do one better, and show you a few snaps of the city I love, paired with a few bits of clothing and accessories inspired by the photos. All this, while I download my Japan trip photos. Neal and I just returned on Saturday and have been swimming in a sea of jet lag molasses. Totally worth it, as next to NYC, Tokyo, is my second favorite city. Enjoy…

I’ve been spending lots of time in the stores lately and I like what I see! Here are a few of my favorite items available right now. Click on photos for shopping info:
Rag & Bone zig zag sweater. This is a summer sweater, made out of cotton ribbon. It’s perfect for those chilly early mornings and evenings when you need an extra layer. It feels amazing and I adore it.
And this Marc by Marc Jacobs bag looks a bit like a Celine bag, but is way less expensive:
These Rag & Bone cut-out brogues make the perfect “borrowed from the boys” statement:
Do you need red pants? If they are Isabel Marant you do! I would wear these with flats or sneakers for day, and heels and a cami at night. Super versatile, and the color makes them special:
And lastly, a gorgeous link with pave bracelet from the very talented Eddie Borgo. I bet the next move for him is teaming up with a fine jewelry brand to create luxury, tough pieces that we can all drool over…

The leaves have fallen on Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn, and it’s getting colder out. People are clutching at their coat collars to brave the wind, and I see a few mittens making their appearance on chilly hands. The radiators are steaming away in the house, and for crying out loud it gets dark at 5 o’clock! All of this changing weather makes me…well, it makes me want to go shopping.
So…..Here are 8 things I want right now, at this very moment. Click on photos for shopping info:
Halston Heritage faux fur coat. Looks and feels luxurious, but the price is decent at $595
Alexander Wang zipper sunglasses. Oh come on, these are just so cool…
Anya Hindmarch glitter clutch. I would love to waive this around at a few holiday parties this season…
Phillip Lim double breasted wool jacket. This color is fantastic, like a perfect lipstick pink, and I know it will cheer me up during winter months.
Malene Birger silk leopard print dress. Every girl needs a little leopard in her life, and I’ll take mine in the form of a sexy secretary dress, thank you very much.
Rag & Bone moto boots. I am obsessed with R & B and while wearing this boot, I can tromp all over the city this winter and feel superior to the Ugg-wearing folk. I swear if someone invents a winter Croc, I’m gonna lose it…
Michael Kors rose gold watch. I love the masculine look of this watch and it looks waaaay more expensive than it’s $250 price tag
And last but not least:
Kara Ross labradorite pyramid ring. I love the mysterious quality of the stone, and the stoic shape.
So there you have it…hunker down and stay warm this week..

I just love the clothing line Rag & Bone. Most everything is made in the USA, and is really well made. Founded in 2002 by Marcus Wainwright and David Neville, the line started with a pair of jeans made in Kentucky, and then grew to a full menswear collection. In 2005 they added womenswear with the same attention to quality and craftsmanship. In 2007, they added accessories for both.
I was in their Soho store recently to have a look around before heading to a spring press preview upstairs at Williamson pr. I was amazed at all of the rich wintery fabrics, and I ogled the gorgeously made boots. I even looked at the men’s section, calling my husband immediately to check out their offerings. He bought an amazing hat similar to a bowler to wear on stage in London that weekend.
While perusing the racks in the women’s area, I noticed the coolest poncho. It was heather gray and green. It was made from checked tweed, had a cream shearling-lined hood, and black leather trim at the hem. It was very English countryside, but at the same time very urban cool. I love it! Did you know that wearing shoes that are relatively close to your skin color makes your legs look a mile long? Just sayin…

Still here in Japan exploring and having lots of adventures. Osaka has been fun, but we’ve been anxious to get to Tokyo to do some serious shopping. Here are some photos from our last day in Osaka:
View from the hotel:

Fresh cold soba noodles and tempura vegetables. This meal cost 650 yen which is about $7.

Wasabi root and grater. You grate the root and put the paste on top of your soba noodles, so delicious!!

This is the logo for a Japanese overnight shipping company. Isn’t it such a great logo? So much cuter than Fedex!

Japanese pickles called “Oshinko” from a fantastic restaurant called Katachiku:

Local sake called “Asian Beauty” served in stoneware cone balanced in a holder:

My husband Neal outside a bar called “Down the Hatch”. He is holding a guitar that serves as the bar sign. This is our last night in Osaka so we are out to celebrate.

My friend Raina looking so cute in her outfit and her platform ankle strap wedges:

If you like her shoes, here are a pair from Rag & Bone that have a similar feel and are really cute:
The flame from the gross shot we all tried called “the backdraft”. It was burning hot absinthe with burnt cinnamon gas that you sucked out of a glass with a straw. Not for the faint of heart…or the easily nauseated.

My face after drinking said shot:

That’s it people, on to Tokyo!

I am going to concentrate on their spring shoes for now, because they are just so darn cute! I will write about their melange of clothing at a later date. Click on the photos for more info.
I want these spring boots, so bad! How cute would they be paired with a sweet dress?
I also want these j’adorable wedges:
And of course I must have these cutie pie oxfords:
Lastly look at how cute the details are on this sandal! Thick canvas straps, with little silver knob closures, adorable..

Last day of “Jeans Week”! (Although if I get inspired, maybe I’ll do two more days for a full week). Here is a really cute pair of white jeans by Rag & Bone which I have made into a weekend outfit. I am really coveting the Bottega Veneta rosebud stud earrings. I would wear them all the time.
At half the price, here are a cute pair of J. Crew white skinnies. They come in “short” or “regular” lengths so a trip to the tailor can be avoided.
Me and my neutral outfits! Carmindy suggests a pop of color for this look. This orangey-red lip stain in “Mulberry” from Laura Mercier is heaven.
I have to add these amazing painted Tory Burch jeans to my post. They are fall 2010, so they are not available yet, but oh when they are, I want them!

Here is a cool pair of Tory Burch jeans available now:

The jeans keep on coming! Next up are a pair of wide leg MiH jeans, outfitted in a safari way. I love the J. Crew “Marquee Hobo” bag I’ve paired with this look. It’s really well made and looks way more expensive than $298
Sadly the Rag & Bone jacket is sold out, but I found this cute one from Arden B, and it’s $59
And if $185 for a pair of jeans has got you down, these Ann Taylor ones are fantastic and are $88.
For this outfit Carmindy suggests sweeping on some bronzer for a sunny glow. This one from Bobbi Brown is great and also doubles as eyeshadow.
