Francesco Clemente is an Italian born painter who has spent his time between Italy, NYC, and India. His work shows both surrealist and expressionist references and he often paints portraits with big heads and eyes with little bodies and floating feet. In the 1980′s, he collaborated with both Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat on some paintings, which is interesting, as I have never seen these before. I can just imagine the 3 of them with their vastly different styles, all working together.
